The engineering question
Record coolant type and glycol concentration, supply/return temperatures, circuit flow, pressure or pressure difference, line diameter, hose/fitting condition, scale or corrosion, mold-steel temperature, stable cycle time, shot mass, material and sensor calibration. Supply/return/flow validate heat removal and water-rise calculations; diameter/flow/properties validate Reynolds; the same evidence checks chiller base load. Repeat after adjustments and compare circuits over the same stable time window.
Use the record, not a universal rule
Keep coolant condition, instrument basis, mold geometry and production state with each result. A calculator narrows the next check; it does not replace flow measurement, a pump curve, mold trial or supplier documentation.
